Get Loud!

Texans gameTailgaters come early.

Texans gameBar-b-que aroma fills the air.

Texans gameIt’s Texans football.  A win today against the Vikings means the road to the Super Bowl goes through Houston.

Texans gameExcitement everywhere.  Every seat at Reliant Stadium filled.

Texans gameFans wear jerseys of favorite players.  Texans gameTime for the Texans to take the field.  Win today and home field advantage through the playoffs is theirs.   Loud, get loud.  We got loud.  We stayed loud, but the Texans didn’t hear.

Texans gameNot wildly cheering fans

Texans gameor sparkly boots,

Texans gameor glittering Texan cups were enough.

Texans gameOne by one fans sneaked out until only the diehards were left.  I was one.   Cheered to the end.  Did no good.  Oh well, it’s only a game.  Some mean more than others.  This one did.  Just once we in Houston want our team to go all the way.

How about you?  Do you experience the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat?

i so appreciate your visit and the comments you leave behind

  1. Greetings, Lulu! I have been catching up with you, read all of your Dec posts here… I must say my favorite is the photo of the BBQ above with the sausage, and is that beef Italian Pinwheels? I used to get them in Bklyn long ago, YUM. And although I love your outside porch/patio, my least favorite thing was that little lizard!!! LOL! Man, you are brave, I hate any kind of lizard, especially the small little ones! I would have gone screaming inside, so you are a kind person to not get all excited and scare him — well, as long as he didn’t fall down on you, as you said! 🙂
I hope you have a lovely holiday and a happy and healthy new year!
    Best,
    Gloria
P.S. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your touching comments. Yes, we can sympathize, but we will never know what the poor Newtown families are going through. We don’t know how lucky we have it…
P.P.S. I like your new blog look. 🙂

  2. So true that it is only a game. They need their fans to be there win or lose. Good for you sticking in there til the end. Even the losers need their cheerleaders. Have a wonderful holiday! Tammy

  3. That blinged out cup is the bomb!!!! That chick knows what’s up!!! LOVE it! As for the ruby boots…gotta love ’em! So sorry the Texans didn’t garner a victory. Welcome to Chiefs Nation. We’ve had that feeling all year long…for the last several years!!!!!!! We miss feeling like winners. It was great while it lasted. Oh, well, like you said, “It’s just a game.” UNTIL NEXT tear!!!! 🙂

You make my day with your comments
