Shutting Down

fallLeaves are raining down these days,

falllanding on the water where they move gently, drifting to who knows where,

fallmultiplying on the ground where they crunch and crumble underfoot.

belted galwaysBelties more often are found lying on the ground anticipating, perhaps, the coming of rain or snow.

sunsetThe days are growing shorter and sunsets are hauntingly dramatic.

Bags are packed, ready to go meaning it’s time to return to Houston where life will be oh so different, not in a bad way, just different.  If there is something you’d like to know about this big, full of energy, diverse city, do let me know.  In the meantime, my eyes will be open.

  1. Enjoyed this past summer with you in Maine – you give us such a beautiful feel for the place, from pictures to writings. Safe travels during the new snow storm, hopefully you got off the ground before the snow started to fly!

  2. It must be so cool having 2 very diverse homes, cultures, surroundings. You get to have the best of 2 very different worlds and weather conditions that are pretty agreeable year round!!!

  3. What beauty that surrounds you! I really enjoyed your pictures of your views, colorful leaves, too. I wish you well in your transfer for the winter. I look forward to your posts about Houston, as well.

    • Who knew the weekend storm would be so horrific? We didn’t leave to avoid it, we were just lucky to get out ahead of it. I understand there is still no electricity at our house which makes me a little worried about what was left in the freezer. My blueberries better not have ruined.

You make my day with your comments
